He is definitely a reggae legend: Eek-A-Mouse is unusual, clear in his positions, constantly driven and full of energy, passionate in his art, crazy, bizarre. He himself calls his unmistakable signature the „Bang Ding Ding“ style – the name „Bang Ding Ding“ was given to him by his friend Bob Marley. Eek-A-Mouse’s music mixes roots reggae with dancehall and is characterised above all by his unique voice and his singjay – a mix of singing, soundsystem music and chanting. In the meantime, the artist lives in Sweden and continues to produce numerous EPs and singles even after almost 50 years of musical career and regularly plays the big stages of world music such as those of the Reggae Sunsplash Festival. It is an honour to welcome him as the last act after 25 years of MASALA at the Kulturzentrum Pavillon.
